lunch at sprial diner.
whew. looks like we're off to a rocky start. i think maybe brian and violet weren't speaking to one another. i kept little people busy with the book collection we were fortuitously seated next to and party-sized packs of wikki sticks.
it seems my phone camera had something in its eye at lunch.
despite barely touching his spaghetti during our previous visit, oliver was gung ho to dive back in. violet selected the peanut butter and raspberry jelly sandwich with apples and proceeded to hound everyone else for their food. this is not unusual. brian experienced the rare treat of being offered vegan, gluten free cheesecake. he accepted. i begged him to look pleased. he, uh, accepted.
the lagoon. the perfect place for a child to fall into knee-deep scummy waters while wearing calf-high rain boots.
don't put your toes in the scummywater.
climbing up through the lagoon's bowels.
we chose the rehabilitated swan. i tried to convince him to take a nap in order to quell the bellyaching.
i kind of like being under flight paths. not directly under because i am highly paranoid of everything that could go wrong, like parts falling off of planes.
